surely it is based on the quality of the quote, not the quality of the film, otherwise it would be called ‘top ten quotes (good films only)

Also, gran torino starring Clint eastwood is an absolutley incredible film, fantastic storyline if you havent watched it . . . DO!

I believe the rest of the film’s quality is totally relevant. I couldn’t even remember the quote Grant mentioned, so I choose which quotes have not only an impact on you, but also the entire film and I believe all those quotes there do that.

That’s not true at all. If you just saw the quote alone, you wouldn’t have a clue what was going on and after a few hours you would’ve forgotten it already. If you remember more than anything else that specific quote then that’s what makes a good quote.
